Metham sodium

"Vapam" is a highly effective, low-toxicity soil fumigant produced using advanced Israeli technology and processes. Its active ingredients are 370 g/L and 510 g/L "Vapam" aqueous solutions. Compared to "methyl bromide," "Vapam" offers advantages such as lower cost, simpler application methods, low toxicity, and high safety, making it one of the widely used high-efficiency soil fumigants globally. Its mechanism of action is as follows: when the "Vapam" solution is mixed with water, it rapidly generates a chemically toxic gas—methyl isothiocyanate—which, under appropriate soil conditions, thoroughly eliminates harmful pathogens causing soil-borne diseases such as plant wilt and blight, including bacteria, fungi, underground pests, weeds, and nematodes. It is particularly suitable for soil disinfection in greenhouses for crops like "strawberries," "melons and watermelons," "sweet and chili peppers," "eggplants," potato seedbeds, and various other vegetables.

  Vapam can be widely applied before sowing or replanting the following crops:
*Vegetables, tobacco, forestry, and ornamental plant nurseries;
*Greenhouse and protected cultivation of vegetables, strawberries, and flowers;
*Field-grown flowers and vegetables;
*Turf and golf course renovation;
*Tropical and subtropical orchard renewal.
